Casper Steinmann leads the Steinmann Group at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy (FKF), University of Southern Denmark, where he holds an Associate Professorship in Computational Drug Discovery and Formulation. He is also affiliated with the Center for Pharmaceutical Data Science Education (CPDSE).

His research sits at the intersection of quantum chemistry, molecular simulation, and machine learning, with focus on synthesizability prediction, cyclodextrin inclusion complex chemistry, and ML for molecular design.

He holds a PhD from the University of Copenhagen and was previously Associate Professor of Computational Chemistry at Aalborg University for seven years.
